Help finish the map
Name your street
Thousands of real streets have no name on the map, so nobody can live on them in the game yet. If you're standing on one, your phone can find it and you can tell us what it's called.
Before you share
- Your location is used once and not kept. We use it to find the road you're on, then keep only that road and how precise your phone was. Not your position, and not a history.
- Nobody sees that you named it. Players never see who named a street. Our admins can, to stop abuse. If it's your own street, bear in mind that naming it from there shows we know you stood on it.
- Only names you really know. From a street sign, or what the people who live there call it. Never copy a name from Google Maps or another map: those are protected, and we can't use them.
- The name may go on OpenStreetMap. After review we may add approved names to OpenStreetMap, the free public map of the world that our streets come from. There anyone can see, use and change it under its open licence (ODbL), and it can't be taken back. We'd credit “Ibadan Life players”, never your name.
- Someone checks first. A name shows in the game only after review. Wrong or rude names are removed.
- Stay safe. Step off the road before you use your phone.
